Taken during my third contract aboard the Norwegian Dream. Autumn 2006.

This was taken at Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico. This here is the Temple of Kulacan (sp?). This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your spelling is probably right, in most respects the Mesoamerican gods have several english spellings. I learned it Kulucan, but he's more commonly known as Quetzalcoatl! Everyone's favorite feathered serpent! *hugs Quetzy* :hug:

I loved Chichen Itza when I went there. I actually got too hot (now I see why we don't dig in August) and went to sit on what I thought was a nice rock but it turned out to be the head of a Quetzy statue that had fallen! It was right next to all the pillars. It was a few years ago so I don't remember what it was called. This picture sure brings back memories though!
